Balayage — natural color gradients with individual character
Balayage and foilyage are two modern techniques for creating beautiful, natural color gradients and highlights, but there are subtle differences:
Balayage
In classic balayage, the color is painted freehand onto the hair's surface. This creates particularly soft, natural gradients with a gentle shadow at the roots.
Balayage provides a more subtle, sun-kissed effect and is ideal for anyone who wants a natural, low-maintenance look.
Foilyage
Foilyage combines the freehand technique of balayage with the use of foils. This allows the hair to be lightened more intensely and evenly—perfect if you want brighter highlights or a more contrasting look.
Finally, the look is refined with various toners, so that despite the more intense lightening, a naturally soft balayage effect with a soft root is achieved.
